For the last 30 years, I built The Pizza Shoppe Collective, a cozy restaurant and entertainment venue, and Benson Theatre, a 100-year-old vaudeville stage restored into a vibrant nonprofit arts center—from the ground up, with no prior experience. This journey brought its fair share of challenges, hardships, and lessons learned through course corrections along the way. I now share these insights—what works and what doesn’t—to help you navigate obstacles more smoothly and build your purpose-driven, fulfilling life with greater clarity and confidence. My background also includes human rights advocacy, social work, and journalistic and creative writing, which inform the guidance I provide to those pursuing their own bold visions.
